Though I was not involved in the writing or hosting, I've carried a
link to it in my signature block. However, today I tried to verify
the link and saw that Verizon has taken down the page. It's still
available on the Wayback Machine, at

znirb/mtr/lettersfaq.html

or for convenience via this shorter link:

Someone reading my Meta-FAQ just passed along this same observation
this week. I've been trying to figure out how to deal with the broken
links there: just remove them? Replace with letter references copied
from Mike Brinza's defunct site? I'll figure something out...

Hi, Steuard. Nice to hear from you!

Why not do what I do? Just do a search in the Wayback machine, and
when you find the latest version, link to that.

I actually thought about copying the Letters FAQ onto my own site and
hosting it here, as I did with the key newsgroup articles that relate
to the FAQ of he Rings. But somehow a Web page feels different, and I
didn't want to make a copy without permission.

For the Letters FAQ specifically, if you don't want to use
http://preview.tinyurl.com/pr6sa7u
you could use the underlying link:
