So do you intend to read it?
At $20.99 on Kindle and no alternatives, I think I'll pass, at least
for now.
Even eBooks of the most recent titles, prepared by well-known
publishers, tend to have at least a few glitches. Apparently, it isn't
enough to have the book in a computer file, ready for printing; it
must be converted to eBook format. Proofreading, it appears, is either
impossible, optional, inadequate, or too expensive to contemplate.
$20.99 is /far/ too high for an eBook (IMHO, of course)..
eBooks based on older books tend to add OCR errors to their list of
woes (and clear evidence of a lack of proofreading). The graphic novel
I tried showed that this is not really a good idea, although whether
that is from a lack of proper tools for preparing the graphic novel or
reflects a conceptual failure of either the format or the people who
prepared the graphic novel to the Kindle is unknown.
Are /all/ Kindle books in the UK priced at £10.99? Does the VAT have
anything to do with this? Still, at least in the UK there is an
option, and it's only £1 more, as shown by the link above.
I will put it on my list, and check it once a year, to see if it
becomes available at a more reasonable price in some format.
